The road network represents one of the principal assets held by national and local government as well as being one of the most important transport modes supporting the economy. MapRoad Asset Management System (AMS) is a centralised data capture and storage repository for Road Asset Datasets including the Road Schedule, Maintenance Works (type & location), Planned Works (type & location) Public Lighting, Active Travel, Bridges, Drainage, Asset Condition and Speed data.

MapRoad AMS facilitates Local Authorities in utilising evidence-based decision making for the management of their road assets The overall aim of asset management using MapRoad AMS is to optimise the service level delivered by the road network over its life cycle.
